Sixx Daze, I love your reactions so much that I don't care if you haven't learned how to say "maneskin" yet. When I listen to this song, I always want to start whirling like a crazy dervish.

This song is packed with ideas, I really love it when Band-Maid does something interesting. The song itself is heavy and chaotic and yet it has the traditional instrument sound after the first chorus into second verse. I don't think Band-Maid did it before. And Saiki's ascending vocal run in the second verse. It looks like it's only me imagining it but sounds to me like what I hear often in Indian or middle eastern music. We've heard her do both ascending and descending vocal run before, but it sounds different for some reason. Even the beginning and ending has the almost Arabic feel. I know it's just me.

We all know that she is a Rock Goddess. She could have easily done a straight Rock cover of the classic 80s Rock anthem,... and she could have. But to take the original, metamorph it, origami it and adapt it into a softish rock ballad, with just an acoustic guitar, which she was learning at the time too, she is a phenomenal artist, at the highest calibre.

Hi Bob. Love your insights in this reaction. This song just about says it all about Courtney. The vocals, as always, are out of this world, but there is so much more here. At the time this was released, Courtney had only picked up a guitar about 6 months prior and look at the fancy finger picking that she was doing at the beginning. Some play a guitar for a lifetime and never get to that point. More than anything though, as you mention, look at the creativity. She basically slowed down the pace, especially in the first half of the song, and just changed it's whole vibe. This song was released 40 years ago and covered by so many, including some of the biggest names in music, and it took Courtney to come along and envision it sung this way. She basically changed the first half of the song into a ballad, before reverting to a more rocky, raspy second half. This is the first cover I've heard of this song that can go toe to toe with the original. Fortunately, the choice needn't be made. This and the original are such different songs that they can stand side by side, towering over all of the other cover attempts made over the years on this classic. Whenever Courtney gets a hold of a song, magic happens, and this is no exception. Totally incredible. IMO, truly the voice of a lifetime.

Another great Courtney reaction, Thank you! Did you know, she turned 20 yesterday? Sad news though, her little dog Teddy took sick the night before and she said he was having an emergency operation. I think he's a Yorkshire terrier and she moved to Yorkshire last year or maybe before so unless I'm mistaken they're both Yorkies.

Speed metal, They just put Junna in hyper drive and went ham. I like the song alot but not blown away by it. I would like to see them live if they ever got close to me.

Hagane hasn't missed a step since losing tree members. Nagi the vocalist and Junna the drummer have joined and fit in fantastically. I am glad Junna has finally joined a band again since preTRiDENT aka "Girls Rock Band Kakumei'. Junna will once again Fate Gear on tour to four gigs across Canada in August. I would suggest checking out Mana Diagram as well. MD is a band formed by the former vocalist UYU and guitarist Mayto. I am not sure if they rushed to get this mini album out, but that may be why you are hearing the things you mentioned. I know Mana Diagram put out two singles before Hagane came back, so there may have been a little competition

The vocals was not appealing to me back when they started releasing videos but I will admit, their vocalist has gotten more appealing to me now. I like the song. I can not say that I will be a fan but they are a band I would listen to now. thanks for encouraging me to give them another listen.

They did an awesome job with this song. The others on the new album are just as good. They are starting to announce tour dates in the UK and are also going to come to the US and Canada for the first time ever too.

So TW's younger selves overcame the ghost that tried to keep them from becoming the women they are today. Even after burying it with their childhood memories, some of those came back. Many believe that the ghost is their critics and haters.

Great song. They wrote with other people on this album. This song with Anton Delost, who produced the album, and Dan Lancaster. I think they met Dan when they toured with Muse, Dan was the Muse touring keyboardist. The entire album is out now, with remaining songs having lyric videos. You will have to search on yt to find "Consume", as it is a hidden track, probably due to explicit lyrics. The Warning played Jimmy Kimmel last week, "S!ck" and "Automatic Sun" videos from that are posted on TW channel. mtv, the other day, posted a performance of "Automatic Sun", and a TW interview, from mtv Push. TW are Push artist of the month.

That drummer! I got a flashback watching this, remembering Ian Paice's drumming during Space Truckin' on the Made in Japan album. While other members took turns doing solos Paice was relentlessly there supporting them non-stop.
